Tea estate assistant manager.

                Key Responsibilities

  • Participating in the Tea Estate strategic planning policy, formulating and implementation
  • Planning, coordinating and directing all the Estate operations
  • Overseeing tea and eucalyptus husbandry practices, harvesting and delivery of the same to their intended destinations
  • Participating in the preparation of the Estate annual budget and ensuring that all operations and usage of resources are within the budgetary allocations
  • Maintaining disciplines, trained and motivated staff.
  • Ensuring implementation of environmental, health and safety issues at workplace
  • Being in-charge of the preparation of payroll and payment of employees’ salaries and wages
  • Assigning minor contracts, implementation and approval of payments upon completion of work
  • Participating in staff hiring, firing and performance appraisal
  • Handling labour welfare issues
  • Implementing RFA, CSR, Fairtrade, ISO etc. programs and overseeing compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements
  • Overseeing timely preparation of the Estate reports (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, annually etc.) and other records of business transactions.
  • Leasing with all stakeholders and ensuring enhanced positive corporate image
  • Undertaking any other duty as may be assigned by the Manager

 

Approximate rate: KSh 250 per hour

Experience
