Internal Auditor | Nov 2018 – Present.   Mabati Rolling Mills Limited - (Safal Group) Achievements:  Lead role in compliance review of the groups’ business units on matters of government regulations, controls and polices.  Spearheaded analysis of the company’s stock during audit and identified obsolete spares and inventory items that overvalued assets in excess of Ksh.70 Million in groups’ business units.  Participated in the development of group’s annual risk-based audit plan and spearhead IT systems programs execution. Key Contributions:  Doing financial, operations & IT audits on group business units and later conducting audit exit conferences with conclusive audit reports and recommendations.

Achievements:  Trained and coached a team of three in auditing Health Centers & Dispensaries (World Bank & DANIDA donor-funded project) in Turkana, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, West Pokot, Lamu, and Mombasa under the Health Sector Services Fund (HSSF).  Performed financial, program and compliance audits of healthcare related programs across the counties to include result based financing, contracts, grants, and funding agreements Key Contributions:  Evaluation of donors’ funds as received and review of usage according to terms of reference and accounting of it with receipts and evidence of spending.  Procurement audits on all purchases of health facility assets and further checking the assets if tagged and its maintenance.  Performed a comprehensive health records review to ensure HMIS data keyed in are complete, accurate and reliable to achieve confidentiality, integrity & availability.  Carried out compliance reviews and performance of County Health Management Team(CHMT) in accordance to HSSF procedures and guidelines.  Ensured key IT risks and controls are identified and test procedures done support the audit objectives and work performed.  Review of drugs as received from KEMSA, stock take sampling and documentation analysis
