About Kelvin Kim:
I have been crafting beautiful and engaging brands, websites, images, and video content for the last 17 years. In that period I have worked as a team lead on a wide range of projects for over 250 clients ranging from government, NGOs, agencies, businesses, and public personalities.
This experience has given me an in-depth understanding of design thinking and design project management allowing me to bring out the best in the teams I work with.
I have a rare combination of skills that allows me to be a single-point solution for the full range of interactive and communication needs of any organization. I always show up with a smile happy to engage in solving the problem in front of me. I believe there is almost always a solution and where there isn't one, there is always an alternative.
Experience
For the last 17 years, I have offered design services to organizations including top interior design companies, UNHCR, County Governments, and the American Chamber of Commerce.
I have also worked full-time for Tiger Aspect, BBC, and Disney Kids on the animated series: “Tinga Tinga Tales” and most recently I have been working full-time for Cloudfactory as a creative specialist in the Learning & Design department where we develop learning content and program branding for workers engaged in Machine learning.
The most notable projects I have been involved in are the design and development of the Nairobi County website in 2014 as the creative director, the development of the Dr. Mattress e-commerce shop as team lead, and the rebranding and content design of the refreshed America Chamber of Commerce in Kenya between 2017 and 2021.
Education
I have a diploma in 3D and Multimedia which I completed in 2007 with an A- average at the Shangtao Media College.
Since then I have taken a wide range of online training courses from Linkedin Learning, Masterclass, Lynda.com, Futur Learn, and many others to stay up to date with cutting-edge design practices.
From 2018 to 2019, I studied service, product, and circular design using the agile model under the mentorship of Zablon Wanyama, a Circular Economy Expert, Designer, and part-time Lecturer at Nairobi University.
