My name is Juliet Inyangala Tsuma, and I am a dynamic, ambitious, and hardworking communications specialist with a degree in Media Studies from Moi University, Kenya. I am well-versed in report writing and documentation, having initiated and completed annual, semiannual, and quarterly reports. I am familiar with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as analytics, visualization, and design tools such as Canva.

I have 6 years of experience in communication, public relations, news reporting and work management.

For the past four years, I have been working with ILC Africa as the Communications Officer. I have managed external and internal communications with its members in 28 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. 

That has given me an international experience in Communication for Development, working in and with a larger team, and being able to be a bi-lingual communicator (English and French). While I also manage the organisation’s website and its social media pages, I am also tasked with designing bi-monthly newsletters, drafting, and implementing purpose-driven campaigns and infographics/info notes for visibility.

I draft and implement communication/Social Media visibility plans; strategies and I am happy to report that I have exercised my humanitarian bit by working with communities and special groups in my current and previous job as a journalist. I have traveled to cover, document, and communicate about the distress and impact of our work to these groups and I’m confident about my expertise in this sector.

I have in the past worked as a Public Relations (PR) officer, News Reporter at Citizen Television, writer at Business Daily, and with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). I also own a website where most of my work is published and achieved. If offered an opportunity to work with you, I will bring all this vast experience on board.

I have worked at ILC for four years as a communications officer, prior to that, I worked as a public relations officer at Africa Laughter. Before Africa Laughter, I worked for Citizen TV as a news reporter.
