James Odhiambo

A HR professional experienced in setting up HR systems, policies, procedures and structures and implementing them in any kind of working set up. A wit and adept professional with excellent hands on employee relations matters. Desires to create and innovate ways and solutions of handling HR and managerial challenges while abiding by the labor laws and maintaining flexibility to learn from others. In so doing I am to become an accomplished individual in the HR, Managerial and Leadership aspects who can work under diverse conditions and circumstances to achieve desired results.
 

I have been the Human Resource Manager at Pathologists Lancet Laboratories Kenya providing advisory, consultancy and support to teams in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda since November 2017 and my current contract ended in July 2022. I have also worked at an NGO environment at KEMRI-UCSF/SEARCH STUDY under RCTP/FACES back in 2016 as Human Resource Officer. I currently undertake part time lecturing at Pan African Christian University in Nairobi.

Most of my job description included: dealing with salary policies and confidentiality, advising on pay and other allowance issues, staff recruitment/talent acquisition and interviews, monitoring code of conduct especially with regard to special occasion, Human Resource Policy development and planning, Training and development, Reward Management strategies and managing employee record and payroll administration among other HR related roles.
