Experience

  1. (from Octomber 2022-date) Site administration/ contract management  – I have worked for (9 months)  as part of the contractor’s management team with NMEDG in The ongoing (97%) construction of Kerugoya Kutus water supply infrastructure project 
  2. (from January 2023-date)  Engineering/Project management and construction procurement – I have successfully been engaged in preparation of working programs of works, preparation of claims due to delayed payments, extension of times and variation of prices as well as in application of tax exemptions for the same project. I can confidently make good appropriation in prediction and allocation of manpower, monetary and duration needs for a construction project.
  3. (from March 2023-date)  Engineering structural, Geometric and hydraulic designs   – I have successfully been engaged in design of sewer and water infrastructure, a structural steel bridge, retaining walls, low rise building (3 story building administration units) and other storage units using Kenya standards, British standards and Euro codes during the 1 year I have been in construction of Kerugoya Kutus water supply and sewerage project.
  4.  5 yrs. Engineering software’s and surveying– I have for the past five years been trained and became conversant in use of AUTOCAD, REVIT, ROBOT , Q-GIS, WATERCAD, SEWERGEM and use of physical and remote surveying methods and equipment’s (RTK, theodolite, TS and level)
  5. (from October 2021-january 2022) Site supervision/ quality control –as a junior civil engineer I have been trusted and deployed by my superiors to conduct site supervision in reinstatement of damaged road pavements(both AC and Cabbro types), setting out of buildings and construction of heavily reinforced concrete water treatment plant, water pipeline (10km), and sewage sewer line (2km) with deep excavations.
  6. Engineering material testing, Quality control and preparation of specifications
  7. Record keeping/minutes writing/site communication –as an intern for 6months in NMEDG I was trusted to keep site records and make response to engineers enquiry using MS OFFICE, physical files and taught how to make reference to FIDIC, and EPC conditions of contract.

2018 – 2023 - B.Sc. Civil Engineering, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology – Awarded First Class Honours. 

2014-2017 - Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, Kirogo Boys High school (KCSE) – scored B+ 73 points

2005 – 2013 - Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, Chomo Primary school (KCPE) –scored 346 marks
