Irene Muthoni

I am a born again Christian and a holder of Bachelor of Science in community Development from Chuka University, A Diploma in Social Work from Kenya School of Government(KSG) and a certificate in Counselling Psychology.

For the last 20 years, I have been working with and for ACK St Pauls Cathedral Child Development Center in Ack Diocese of Embu under a project directly funded by Compassion International a NGO with its headquarters in Nairobi which advocates for the plight of vulnerable children, orphans, youth and mothers with the aim of empowering them social-emotionally, social-economically, physically and spiritually.

I have proper experience in project operations and community development related activities, gaps and needs assessment/identification, coordinate trainings, managerial related work, preparing and undertaking trainings, facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, proposal development, day to day report writing, youth mentorship among other social work related activities.

In the line of duty, I have guided and counseled children and youths to overcome their challenges and make appropriate life choices.  Equally, I have created the spirit of teamwork and self-empowerment. 

I have been privileged to enroll children, youth in various schools, technical/vocational institutions who have gone on to graduate and are using acquired skills to earn their living and uplifting their living standards.

In corroboration With other right minded stakeholders, I have worked for children and youths who have gone on to achieve their dreams and have become fulfilled Christian adults as guided by our organization Vision and Mission.

I am currently a part time trainer at St Lukes Kirima Technical Training Institute that is offering Diploma Certificate courses to youths and young adults.

Having over 20 years of experience, I have acquired a wealth of experience on matters to do with Community Development and Social Work that I can use to deliver an organization mandate without or with minimal supervision.

I feel am fully competed and ready for any new challenge to uplift children, youths and women to the next level in life.

I am a holder of a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Community Development ( second class honors Upper Division)  from Chuka University, a Diploma in Social Work from Kenya School of Government (KSG) Embu and a Certificate in Counselling Psychology.
