Services provided
I am a dedicated social worker and life skills facilitator with a strong background in community development, counseling, and capacity-building. With hands-on experience volunteering for organizations like Kesho Kenya and Lea Mwana Children’s Center, I specialize in empowering individuals through emotional support, group facilitation, life skills training, and community mobilization. I am also trained in parenting life skills, resource mobilization, and leadership, and I’m passionate about creating sustainable, positive change in underserved communities.
Experience
I have over three years of hands-on experience working in community development and social support roles. As a volunteer social worker with Kesho Kenya, Home of Hope, and Lea Mwana Children's Center, I provided counseling, facilitated group discussions, and coordinated community-based projects. I also conducted needs assessments, developed support plans, and educated families on available resources. In my role as a Community Life Skills Facilitator in the Malindi region, I led workshops on personal development, financial literacy, and communication, while connecting clients with essential services and advocating for their rights. My work has consistently focused on empowering individuals, promoting well-being, and building resilience within vulnerable communities.
Education
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Moi University, where I gained foundational knowledge in social systems, human behavior, and community empowerment. I have also earned professional certificates in music, management, and leadership from institutions such as Kamata School of Music and the Kenya Institute of Management. These diverse educational experiences have strengthened both my interpersonal and organizational skills, equipping me to engage effectively in community development and support work.
