Procurement and Supply Chain Officer Aga Khan Hospital-Kisumu       Duties and Responsibilities 

 Taking lead in the preparation of procurement plan and submitting to the Aga khan Hospital (AKHK) for review.   Ensuring the procurement of medical equipment, goods, services and works and are executed in accordance with AKHK Procurement rules, regulations, policies, procedures and financial planning in accordance with requisitions submitted.   Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications based on end user requirements and preparing shortlists based on investigation of markets as well as policy considerations to the AKHK.    Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual procurement reports and making appropriate recommendations for management.   Assist in the preparation of Purchase Orders, Service Contract and Amendments, ensuring that all specifications terms and conditions are according to AKHK standards.  Assist in the evaluation process of contractors’/suppliers’/consultants’ claims pertaining to outstanding contracts/procurement actions, subsequent endorsement of invoices in accordance with the Hospital Financial Rules and Regulations.   Coordinate and present logistics support to the AKHK within the set timelines as well as ensuring premises, assets, and communication ways are used effectively.   Planning and assisting in contract negotiations as well as contract management in the establishment and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement to enhance service delivery and development of outcomes with integrity.    Monitoring and reporting on procurement implementation status and progress of ongoing contracts execution.   Actively seeking innovative and creative technological tools for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing operations. (LPO/LSO tracker, requisition tracker).    Taking lead in ensuring all relevant documentation are maintained in accordance with appropriate AKHK data security and access controls, and records management system requirements, including digitalization of all documents 




Pharmacy and Warehousing- LOCUM Staff Medecins sans Frontiers- France (MSFF)-Homabay |       Duties and Responsibilities 

 Receipt of Medical equipment, goods and services in view of obtaining proper delivery reports and relevant certificates ensuring that all supporting documents were available for audit and for review purpose.   Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.   Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.   Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials, drugs, supplies or equipment; complete packing slips for shipments as assigned.  Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups.  Supervise the processing of requisitions and requests to invoice for reimbursements of warehouse codes; complete requisitions for needed materials to assure adequate stock levels.   Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse; file records as required; supervise the assembly of inventory printouts and catalogs as required.    Monitor automated warehousing system; operate a computer to enter data, correct errors and control key screens as required.   Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment.   Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition. 




 





    Procurement/Stores Intern  Homabay County Teaching and Referral Hospital  Duties and Responsibilities  Assisted the Procurement Officer and his Assistants in raising quotations, quotation analysis, preparing the tender and procurement documents in accordance with Hospital procurement guidelines.  Received and inspected stock from vendors.  Conducted periodic stock verification.  Filled invoices and delivery notes from vendors and updated the same in excel.   Participated in opening of tenders, quotations and evaluation.  Advising management on all matters regarding value for money on all procurements.  Labeled/rearranged items as well as updating bin cards accordingly upon receipt or issue of items.  Writing monthly reports as required and directed by my supervisor.  Reviewed invoices and ensured complete documentation (GRN, Invoice, Delivery Note, LPO) are submitted to finance for payment.  Ensured all approved quotations are captured in ERP and approved LPOs sent to the vendors. 


Pharmaceutical Technologist Kilimani Hospital        Duties and Responsibilities  Stock Control and Inventory Management   Preparation of orders, expediting delivery of goods and issuing and receiving of stock   Store security safety and cleanliness and stock taking, inventory and reconciliation.  General Management of Pharmacy  Preparation of pharmacy protocols(SOP) and Promoting Rational Use of Drugs  Promoting Patient Satisfaction.  Promoting Good Pharmacy Practice and attending Ward-rounds.  Dispensing /Counselling/ Education of all pharmaceuticals according to JCIA and SAFECARE standards.  Pharmacy record keeping and monthly/annual reports 


    Pharmaceutical Technologist- Intern Kisumu East District Hospital  Duties and Responsibilities 

 Dispensing /Counselling/ Education of all pharmaceuticals according to Hospital standards.  Preparation of orders, expediting delivery of goods and issuing and receiving of stock.  Store security safety and cleanliness and stock taking, inventory and reconciliation.  General Management of Pharmacy.  Promoting Good Pharmacy Practice.  Pharmacy record keeping.  Any other duties assigned by my supervisors. 

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE Rift Valley Technical Training Institute Pharmacy Students Association-chairman Responsibilities  Effectively listening, collating, and communicating the views of all the students, taking these views to meetings and to the management.   Chairing Students meetings.  Arranging student information sessions in collaboration with the administration. 

Education

I’m a Bachelor Holder in Procurement and Contract management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and also Advance Diploma holder of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply in good standing (CIPS Member undertaking Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply. I’m licensed member of Kenya institute of supplies management in good standing.
I’m also a Holder of Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology, enrolled with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and bonafide member of Kenya Pharmaceutical Association (KPA), Nyanza branch.
