About Geoffrey N Gechuki:

I am particularly interested in this position because of my background in structures,bridges, roads and transportation infrastructure. Having been involved in design of high-rise residential developments, ranging from 20 storeyed structures to duplex villas and commercial complex in Nairobi, Mombasa Kiambu, Machakos and Kisii  counties. Have also designed low volume road cross-sections in karen and kikuyu to local standards and requirements. I feel competent and sufficient enough to undertake any task in my field of study and specialization.

EXPERTISE
Lead  Structural Engineer with experience spanning over 8years, specifically related to the road infrastructure and structures. Managed all technical aspects of highly complex construction projects. Quickly solved problems and made decisions using site data, design goals, and local and industry standards. Highly developed technical expertise with full range of engineering and project management software knowledge.
ADMINISTRATION
My skills include expertise in automated project optimization with job cost tracking, establishment and maintenance of Bid bonds and insurance relationships, purchasing procedures,personnel management, knowledge of international construction law, generation of in-depth reports and proposals, group speaking and presentation skills, serving as liaison between government officials and clients through supervision of crews, and the ability to interact effectively with senior management, regulatory officials, inspectors, architects, clients, crews, and the public.
SKILLS & STANDARDS
Proficient in a wide range of design and engineering software, including Civil 3D, Infraworks, Revit
bridge, Tekla structures, AutoCAD and Xsteel. International standards included AISC, ACI, BS, ASCE,
and UBC. Consistently noted by past and present superiors, associates and clients for attention to detail, outstanding job performance, leadership by example, ability to prioritize multiple projects, dedication to quality, and completion of all projects within budgets and deadlines.
