I possess an array of skills and experience in project management/coordination that I believe you will find relevant to the responsibilities of the position.

I have worked as a Project Assistant to the Rights and Resilience Project in Kenya (A joint project bringing together researchers from the University of Copenhagen and the University of Nairobi’s Institute for Development Studies to explore the implications of climate change on the Pastoral Economy). Amongst other duties, I have been involved in the design and implementation of research activities as well as analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.

Prior to that, I was a research administrator in a team brought together by the UNDP to explore multidimensional poverty in Kenya. Amongst other duties, I supervised the secondary research review undertaken by 8 research assistants and took part in compiling the final report. Besides research oriented work, I have a close familiarity with the workings of a busy office having had a stint in a demanding state office. At the Ministry of Education, President's Awards kenya. I was charged with managing departmental communication as well as maintaining liaison with diplomatic missions. As a research assistant with Friedrich Ebert Stifung, I was involved in the collection and analysis of data as well as the drafting of final report.

I believe you will also find my other engagements as a researcher and project assistant in a busy construction multinational, in addition to internships, voluntary activities and other training activities, offer competencies quite relevant to the position. Overall, I hope the role will offer an exciting opportunity to not just put acquired competencies to test, but also learn new skills, interact with a diverse team and contribute to the furtherance of social good.
