Internship - Finance Assistant

 Summary of Duties  

• Preparation and verification of A.I. Es (Authority to Incur Expenditure) 
• Rectification of the A.I.E allocation schedule 
• Combining of totals of A.I. Es issued in financial year 2020/21 in Excel spreadsheet 
• Budget Reallocation 
• Requisition and Issue voucher s.11 
• Physical verification of receipts
• Recording details of various documents into the IFMIS system 
• Compiling and formatting financial estimates 
• Compiling pending bills 
• Initial processing of re-allocation within the budget 
• Taking initial action on budget monitoring 
• Dispatching and receiving letters and memos to and from the various ODPP stakeholders which strengthens the relationships formed between the ODPP and stakeholders through efficient interaction, communication and service delivery. 
• Assisting in budget implementation 
• Ensure the swift movement of the payment and imprest registers between the accounts   and finance department which authorizes expenditure
• Maintaining the requisition journal which guides requesting of commodities within the office through the Procurement Division 
• Receiving internal memos from other departments that require financial approval.
