• Ensure compliance of regulatory guidelines and generally accepted auditing standards.
• Identifying and assessing the risks of material misstatement of the entity’s financial statements, whether due to fraud or error, designing and performing audit procedures responsive to those risks, and obtaining audit evidence that is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for the auditor’s opinion.
• Planning and implementing audit procedures.
• Reporting audit findings to management and recommending corrective action where necessary. Working with external auditors on larger projects, such as preparing audit proposals or managing audit teams on site at client locations. 
• Compiling and presenting detailed audit reports to the audit manager.
• Discussing the conclusion and recommendations from the audit with clients.
• Execute audit assistant functions to check the accuracy of accounting systems and procedures.
• Review, assess and recommend changes in accounting systems and controls of a business unit.
• Attending meetings and interviewing staff to gather evidence.
• Preparing a final audit report, including making recommendations for improvements to systems or processes.
• Check and verify accounting books and records are in conformity with industry practices and corporate policies.
• Evaluating the overall presentation, structure and content of the financial statements, including the disclosures, and whether the financial statements represent the underlying transactions and events in a manner that achieves fair presentation
