Entertainment manager. My roles include:

 Managing and overseeing all aspects of an event, from start to finish
 Negotiating contracts with talent, production companies, and other industry professionals to secure performers for events
 Coordinating with vendors to ensure that all services are provided as agreed upon and within budget
 Making sure that all operations run smoothly, including scheduling rehearsals and performances and making sure that all technical elements are working properly
 Overseeing marketing efforts such as creating advertisements or organizing promotional events
  Coordinating with marketing departments to develop and implement marketing strategies that reach target audiences through all channels, including print and digital advertising, social media campaigns, live events, and public relations campaigns
 Managing the budget and working with event planners, designers, and other professionals to create an event that is within the budget guidelines
 Evaluating the success of an event based on factors such as ticket sales, attendance levels, and customer satisfaction levels
 Handling tasks related to event planning, such as selecting a venue, hiring performers, coordinating catering services with caterers, and selecting decorations and other event elements

Preparing the daily sales/stocks report
Monitoring of booking/registration of LPG gas cylinders
Doing home deliveries
Inspection of stock/balance of filled cylinders

HOUSE IN BLOOM, NAIROBI
Event Planner 2018-2020 
House in Bloom is an Events Company in Nairobi. I joined the staff there as an event planner and I was able to exercise my Public Relations Skills learnt in school in regards to planning and organizing events for clients such as weddings, funerals, birthday parties and so on. I sharpened my skills in writing professional quotations as well relating with customers of different personalities all in the aim of making their ‘big day’ a success keeping in mind the stipulated budget provided. I also had the opportunity to be hands on employee where I learnt how to decorate events i.e. make colorful ribbons, balloons, set up tables, cutlery and floral arrangement.

CITY HALL, NAIROBI
Customer Service Personnel 2017-2018

I had a great opportunity of working in the customer service desk at City Hall, Nairobi County as an intern. I am confident that within the three months I was there, I  gained the skill of customer relations ranging from how to deal with different customers in the county all in the aim of coming up with  solutions.
My skill on writing was also sharpened as I would update the Nairobi County government website with different articles in regards to the happenings within the county every week.

After completing my bachelors degree, my career journey started in K24 TV as an intern in the editorial department. When I first touched my feet on the industry I was eager to have a learning experience that would add more skills to what I learnt in class. Nine months down the line, I was confident that I had gained skills in writing and editing stories which communicated to my audience always sticking to the journalistic ethical guidelines. I went on the field captured events that have happened and delivered stories that were impactful to the audience. I also built my analytical skills, patience in building a story, as well as the art of delivering one.

I was in the digital section managing the content that went across the Shine Fm 103.1 social media platforms. I learnt how to be keen in grammar and punctuations when writing information for the different social media sites. Research Projects and events were the backbone of the station’s success. With that I learnt how to do research projects and manage social events for the station.

I worked in the Editorial Desk of Shine FM 103.1, Daystar University’s student run radio station. I gained skills in field reporting and scripting for radio both in English and Swahili. Working for Shine Fm news desk instilled the spirit of time management as it was my obligation to make sure that news went on air on time.
