Eunice Apphia

I utilize my skills as a creative communicator with a great sense  for news, a passion for community journalism, public relations, customer care services and a reputation for impeccable ethics.

I have 1 year experience in both customer service and news reporting jobs the former being at parliament and the later at a TV station in Zambia called MUVI TV. In both I served as an intern.

I am passionate about being of service to the community and aiding where I can. I achieve this by engaging in customer care care services. I'm also passionate about news reporting, getting the chance to be a voice to the voiceless in the society and fighting for justice.

I have mastered learning new concepts quickly and priorities effectively, together with Interpersonal skills and communication skills.

 

Working with Parliament, The Senate, as an intern in their Public Communications department was such an amazing experience. This opportunity exposed me to customer service and greatly improved my communication and interpersonal skills especially when interacting with dignitaries. I learnt how to pay attention and be careful with every word I would utter and how to conduct myself in an honorable manner before them. 
Was also trained on how to receive and welcome them, and to direct them to offices they were visiting or meetings they were to attend. I would also receive internal calls and act as requested. I learnt how to prioritize work through time management and planning of events.

It was also an honor working with MUVI TV as an intern helped me gain so much exposure. I was trained on how to communicate  fluently and effectively and the importance of boldness and courage in speech. The company, mostly dealing with news, made me step out of my comfort zone and explore other avenues of  communication and journalism such as videography, photography, writing and reporting for news and how to edit audios and footage. in addition I learnt how to create adverts and carry out voice overs for commercials.

Learning and studying at Daystar University is a great experience, for I have received much knowledge on matters communication, public relations, economics and media.
I have been trained on commun icating fluently and effectively and the importance of boldness and courage in speech.
I have received training also in videography and photography. In addition I learnt how to write and report news; to edit audios and footages; broadcasting and presenting for radio.
I also gained computer skills  especially on using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
