I am a talented, self-motivated, enthusiastic graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology (BBIT) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). I have accrued over 5 years of experience working at various organizations. This experience has allowed me to refine my problem-solving skills and consistently meet organizational objectives with utmost competence. My goal is to further enhance my professional skills, capabilities, and knowledge within an organization that values hard work, entrusts its employees with responsibilities, and embraces challenges.

Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) Assistant ICT officer April 2020 - Present My duties are as follows: Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners. Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions. Maintaining the security of client computers and data by ensuring operating system updates and virus protection are installed as well as finding and eliminating malicious applications. Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests from colleagues. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks to preserve network integrity. Creating equipment maintenance reports quarterly.
Providing technical assistance and support to end-users with application, computer, desk phone, printer and basic network related issues following established policies, processes and procedures across the organization. Working cohesively with fellow team members, management, escalation points, and vendors to ensure the right solutions are implemented and sustained. Setting up user accounts for new employees.
Providing feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve.
Maintaining technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting. Executing repairs that are computer related as well as scheduling servicing and maintenance for the same.
Serving as the first contact with customers who need technical assistance via the phone or email. Resolving technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems. Develop and maintain knowledge of KeNHA computer systems and share this knowledge with colleagues to promote computing literacy and efficient use of technology as well as a high level of customer service. Testing new technology.
