1. Developing software: I am responsible for designing and writing software applications. Implementing using Java programming language and spring boot framework to create new software from scratch or modify existing software to meet specific needs.
2. Debugging and testing: I test the software I create to make sure it works as intended, and to identify and fix any issues that may arise. This may involve collaborating with other team members to ensure the software is functioning as expected.
3. Collaborating with others: I work closely with other developers, projects managers, testers and other stake holders to develop software solutions that meet the needs of the organization. This involve attending meetings, sharing ideas, and collaborating on code and other aspects of software development.
4. Documenting my work: I create and maintain documentation for my software development work, including technical specifications, user manuals and other materials as required.
5. Providing support: I am responsible for providing support to users of the software I develop by providing training, answering questions and troubleshooting issues.

Achievements.

• I implemented a payment gateway solution from scratch. This projects involves mobile payment and bank integrations. I developed the project using java and spring boot framework. This project was used to update payments in our e-revenue collection system.
• Created e-revenue collection software solution for county governments from scratch. This project involved a team of 5 developers and 3 quality assurance specialist. I was involved in this project as a backend developer to design and implement API endpoints for web, mobile and USSD clients.
• I successfully implemented integrations with core banking systems such us (T24 and PROFITS). These projects involved creating API endpoints for our biometrics solution to be consumed by the CBS and also integrating to the CBS systems APIs.
• Implemented single fingerprint identification functionality in our Biometrics system. This was a new feature introduced to an already existing biometrics solution to meet the needs of our client.
• System demonstration of the biometrics e-kyc solution. I did successful demos to several high-level clients. This involved preparing the demo environment, customizing the portal to reflect the theme of the potential client and explaining the biometrics operations in our solution.

As a software developer at COMPWEB my primary responsibility was to design and implement high quality software solutions that meet the client needs. I consistently delivered results by working closely with multi-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges, streamline processes and achieve overall efficiency.

One of my key achievements was a new software module which involved integrations with various systems such as mobile money providers (customer to business and business to customer APIs), credit reference bureau systems and loan listing platforms. This module was very well received by the management and it was used as a key selling point of our software solution. The impact of this module was felt in the company through increased sales and profits.

Additionally, I was responsible for mentoring junior developers and guiding them through the software development process. Through my leadership and guidance, I helped several team members improve their technical skills and contributed to a more collaborative and innovative work environment.
