Achievements

Designed a climate Control hatchling shower chamber for Kilifi Colony maintenance facility, that aims at improving hatchability rates of Black Soldier Fly eggs from 90% to 95% by controlling temperature to a required target of 29°C and relative humidity of 85%

Developed a specification sheet for procuring climate control equipment and materials of construction to be used.

Sourced for local vendors who would supply us with climate control equipment that meet our project budget.

Engaged stakeholders from Production and Research and Development (R&D) teams through a What If Analysis session, to help in identifying some of the possible risks that may arise when using Climate Control Hatchling Shower Chamber.

Designed a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant for Kilifi Colony maintenance facility, that would supply fresh drinking water for employees and would be used for feed preparation in the Nursery. This would help in cutting the cost of buying water on a daily basis.

Developed Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (PID) and Process Flow Diagram (PFD) for the RO Plant

Designed Production Light cages prototype that can be connected to Yin Yang Light cages with ease.

Developed a detailed design of the prototyped Production Light Cage

Carried out a Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to ascertain that the fabricated samples meet our specifications

Carried out a number of trials with support from Kilifi’s R&D team, to justify the feasibility and functionality of the prototyped Production Light Cages.

Carried out a time study on Barrel Emptying and Offloading from trucks using Forklift Machine.
