Dr. John Kowiti

I currently work as a technical director and supervising pharmacist with two Pharmaceutical Wholesale and Retail companies. In this area I posses a wealth of experience. Furthermore, I have logged a considerable number of hours in the clinical pharmacy setting within busy and demanding hospitals like Mulago National Referral Hospital (Kampala), Bushenyi Health Center III (Mbarara) and Webuye Level IV Hospital. I have also had stints practicing in Industry (Biodeal - Nairobi), Regulatory Affairs (National Drug Authority - Kampala) and community pharmacy (Goodlife Pharmacy - Karen). A quick glance at my C.V. will reveal that I am well capable; I can handle all the procedures and protocols employed in these practice settings and I am motivated to assimilate new skills and accumulate new experiences in novel practice settings.

The College of Medical Science at the Makerere University is well known for the standard of medical training and has consistently produced high caliber graduates who currently fill top positions all around the health Sector.

Backed with the learning obtained from the School of Pharmacy, I bring with me the pleasure of working with a competent, well rounded and professionally sound employee.

My three additional years in A-Level give me an academic maturity that is uncommon and beneficial in navigating the technical nature of pharmacy practice.

I am well prepared for the modern work environment with my International Computer Driving License which has me fully proficient in the Microsoft office suit with a typing speed of 70 words per minute; and as an advanced computer user, I can easily and quickly master new software as the need arises.

I am a life long learner and I fully intend to expand my academic portfolio by increasing my core and fringe courses and certificates.
