I am a dedicated and compassionate individual and also a graduate with a degree in social work equiped with the skills needed for the caregiving role .

I have the ability to understand and share feelings for those I care for, I am an active listener which is important for one  to understand the needs and concerns for those I care for.

I am aslo flexible enough to adapt to the changes and new routines for those I care for.I am also resourceful and am able to find  solutions for situations that may arise while caregiving.
When dealing with challenging situations I am skilled enough to maintain a calm and patient manner.
Caregiving often involves physical tasks, I  have  the strength and endurance to assist with mobility, lifting, and other activities.
I am also responsible  person who ensures that all necessary tasks are well completed. 

 I respect the dignity and privacy of those under my care.
I am eager to contribute my knowledge and work collaboratively in a home care setting.I am self-motivated and comfortable working under minimal supervision priototizng the well being of those under my care.

My commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment aligns with my passion for making a positive impact in people's lives.

As a graduate with a social work degree entering the field of home caregiving, my professional experience includes a significant attachment at Thika Main Prison for a period of three months.

 During this period, I worked closely with inmates, addressing their diverse needs and paying particular attention to their mental health.

I applied my social work principles and gained practical experience in assisting and supporting individuals.

I communicated effectively and provided counseling which is a crucial skill in creating rapport with individuals in need of care.

During this field placement I advocated  for the rights and well-being of vulnerable populations, demonstrating commitment and ensuring quality care for those in need.

I collaborated with healthcare professionals during my field placement and the staff where we worked on ensuring that the overall wellbeing of individuals.

I conducted need assessment for inmates and identified and understood  the special needs of the individuals.
I understand the cultural competence which I   gained through working in a diverse prison environment acquiring the ability to respect different backgrounds.
This experience at Thika main prison has equipped me with valuable insights into addressing complex needs and providing holistic care .
I am excited to apply this knowledge and my social work skills to the home caregiving field, ensuring compassionate and effective support for individuals in need.

2020-2023

I studied social work and administration in Mount Kenya University Thika Main Campus for three years  and achieved a bachelor's degree in social work with a second class honors upper division 

2016-2019

I completed my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in Karoti Girls Highschool and I managed to get a B- grade

2015

I did my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education  and I managed to get 330 marks
