About chrispinus mutimba:
Mutimba Chrispinus is professionally trained as ateacher with best skills of communication.
Experience
I have managed to accomplish many endeavors which I properly categorize as professional.
While serving as a teacher at Busende Secondary school, I saw through the launching of Debate club, Pen club and the strengthening of the Guidance and counsel where I enforced the ones dormant clubs.
I have also participated in farming activities primarily poultry and crop farming in my small home, this is in the verge of addressing food security in my locality as the farm products are availed to local markets for sell. This makes it more entrepreneurial and as a result, I have influenced around ten youth into farming.
With regards to my writing interest and love of books, I have managed to put into publication a novel titled “The Vampires of Africa”
This is in verge of increasing reading material to learners across Africa and communicating to the community through books on the political, economic state of our nation. The novel entirely describes African politics, economic hurdles and some erroneous cultures that still weaken the society. This is one of the many written articles I have written (Yet to publish) I have donated 100 books to 4 schools.
While volunteering at redcross, we were able to influence the improvement of maternity wards, and the working standards of the medics.
Through my own initiated programme, I have managed to open a tree nursery in my village which today holds about 1000 seedlings. This has helped increase tree planting activities in my village with many planted forests.
2 skills
With interminable interest I have developed in politics, public management and entrepreneurship, I will cherish to acquaint myself with leadership skills. This will clearly help me in addressing the major crisis of corruption, poor representation and mismanagement of public resources. Through this, I will be able to initiate bills that seek to increase literacy levels of our people, empowering equality and justice to the people not forgetting ensuring respect to the rule of Law. this is in line with Johannesburg SDGs. African can only address the above problems through embracing of proper leadership training of African youths.
Developing social skill, such as collaboration, communication and participation will be a priority as I believe in democracy and consensus as a way of addressing disunity among our many dialects African community. This will properly help in improving my mediating skills for the case of misunderstanding between different communities and even between individuals. Acquisition of such skills will make me a complete ambassador charged with enhancing political stability, and encouraging tolerance in our political, cultural and tribal differences.
Africa as a continent has a bad culture of entrepreneurship, as result low investments, poverty and eventually crime have quite long addressed our state. With Mandela Washington Fellowship, I will be glad to learn entrepreneurial skills, learn the advantages with an aim of addressing the issues and implementing them. Creating job opportunities and reducing crime. It will help address issues of poverty, unemployment and ensure maximum utilization of our own resources as people of Africa.
Through creation of jobs as a hopeful entrepreneur I will be able to create enormous job opportunities in different sectors. I look forward to launching Agri-business activities in line with value addition to encourage many youths into creating jobs for themselves and reducing unemployment rate.
My major concern and interest will be launching a relief programme or rather organization. Which therefore will reach out to the marginalized people, this includes people from vulnerable groups such as orphans, street children, the physically/mentally impaired. By so doing, these people will feel loved and part of our community. The programme will be named BIG HEART AFRICA. which to my intuition speaks of our welcoming nature and will of helping one another.
Through affiliating with the well-wishers, the programme will also promote the protection of a boy-child as the community has overstressed on the girl-child flouting the former. This will include provision of scholarships.
Diversity addresses the quality of our unlikeness and differences in terms of culture, races, languages tribes and even gender, by embracing and accepting the above differences, unity and peace will prevail as long as we are tolerant, Africa and the world at large has to acknowledge the difference which beyond our understanding do exist.
Equity refers to the fairness and impartiality as determined by natural law. this value has to be embraced in addressing the difference that occur either naturally or from our negligence. Everyone has to be under the same horizontal law, no discrimination of races, gender or justice. Fair trial before courts of law among other issues.
In inclusion, no one has to be exempted in autonomous endeavors. We all have to feel part of our community, country and the continent at large. I cherish the inclusivity, equality and our diversity. This has helped the community to change.
The world at times is faced by enforceable challenges, it is only that these challenges make us strong. The Covid-19 pandemic caused economic strains, food shortages, loss of lives and posed a threat to the education system of many African countries.
However, through the pandemic, I was able to learn new life skills. I embraced technology in advancing on with my daily life. I did communication over phone, attended meetings and classes online, well this was unthought of in most African countries but it came to realization. I created a WhatsApp group and Facebook page (Mutimba Writings) that I used to educate people on the skills of living within the most challenging times.
This helped to learn the importance of embracing technology and need of being flexible in every situation. The countries in Africa should also learn to rely on themselves without necessarily waiting for grants and other foreign helps.
While serving as a teacher at Busende secondary school, a major difference arose between two religious clubs. (Christian Union and Young Christian Community). It was tense and threated peace. The YCS grouped alleged their colleagues of making a mockery of their believe and associated them with evil. It was controversial that as the active chairperson of Christian Union had to interfere.
I called the leadership of the two groups where I reminded them of breaking the school rules notwithstanding their respect club constitution. I reminded them the sole purpose of religion was to serve one God and that respect and tolerance were paramount in so doing. I also explained the leadership roles to the two leaders. The two groups agreed to have intervened in the school rule and both had to do letters of apology to the administration. They mutually agreed on coordinating their activities and hosting communal prayers together.
