My name is Catherine Mwaniki, a KCA university graduate In bachelor of commerce, finance. I started my career in 2018, where I worked as n Assistant Accountant in Kenya Rural Roads Authority. I was mandated to accounting tasks according to authority regulation, that I find them perfectly fitting any other organization accounting responsibilities. I’m willing to work in any organization to meet the objective of the goal by laying out transparent and reliable accounting procedure.
Experience
I attended an attachment program at Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), from 1st Dec 2017-29th Feb 2018 where I undertook training as an Accounts trainee. My responsibility included;
• Preparing payment documents in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations;
• Data capturing into financial management system;
• Preparation of accounting schedules and registers;
• Writing cheques where necessary;
• Receipting of money due and payable to the Authority;
• File all finance documents as per laid down procedures;
• Facilitating audits by retrieving the required documents and files;
• Preparation of bank reconciliations; and
• Preparation of I -Tax payments of the contractor’s certificates payment in the organization. (Both Value Added Taxes (VAT) and Income taxes).
