Andrew Nyaware

I possess an undergraduate degree in journalism and communications; I also have a minor in French and international relations implying that I am conversant with the French language and international affairs, this I believe would be a great advantage to your organization as I will be able to engage with both the local and the international stakeholders. In terms of experience, I feel that i have the prerequisite experience required in working in your organization. I am currently the public affairs and communications officer for the Kenya Water Towers Agency, this is a Kenyan government parastatal charged with the responsibility of protecting and conserving the country’s water towers -this is a position I have held for 10 years.

My duties have involved the implementation of communication programs and strategies in line with the mandate of the organization. I have also been involved in brand management, event management, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization and program coordination. As a communications officer at KWTA , I have gained a lot of experience in advocating and campaigning for various environmental issues such as the REDD+ program with UNDP, which I believe will enable me to easily adjust to your organization’s working culture.
