Highly reliable, resourceful and result-oriented Land Surveyor experienced in providing surveying services including GPS, GIS, Remote sensing, Cadastral surveying, Topographical surveying and Engineering Survey. I have been involved in surveying projects, monitoring and evaluation, field research, capacity building as well as planning and implementing community-based projects as an intern, volunteer land surveyor, freelance land surveyor and powerline surveyor.
Experience
Land Surveyor and Wayleave officer at Maphech Capital Agencies from April 2021 to Present:
Maphech Capital Agencies is contracted by Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation to
conduct Power-line survey for upcoming projects for purposes of planning in Kakamega County.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Route selection for high voltage and low voltage power transmission lines.
• Data collection i.e. location of client premises using hand held GPS and their personal details
• Drawing power transmission models and presenting in CAD format.
• Liaising with community leadership to educate the public on project importance and
implications.
• Wayleave acquisition and writing concise reports for projects done.
• Coordinating and supervision of other power-line surveyors for purposes of smooth and
timely collection, collation and dissemination of power-line data.
• Preparation of accurate survey and expense reports for field work.
• Preparing and maintaining databases for projects done for purposes of monitoring of progress.
• Liaising with the department of Lands in Kakamega for purposes of map acquisition and
acquisition of searches for project affected plots.
• Being the communication liaison between REREC, Community leadership, Construction
contractors and the community.
Volunteer Surveyor at Kericho County Survey Offices from 8th January 2020 to 23rd June 2020:

Survey Intern at Kenya Electricity Transmission Company(Survey Department) from 5th February 2019 to 15th May 2019:
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Civic education to create awareness regarding KETRACO projects and implications.
•Participate in route selection for power line.
•Scan, georeferenced and digitize hard copy RIMs and PIDs to be used in determining whichland parcels were affected by wayleave corridor.
•Drawing powerline models containing power line and the land parcels affected.
•Cadastral survey to effect land subdivisions in order for Title deeds to be issued forcompensation purposes.
•Performing searches for land parcels affected by wayleave corridor.

- September 2014 to December 2018: Bachelor of Technology in Surveying Technology, (Second Class Honors-Upper Division) at The Technical University of Kenya.
