A senior development and humanitarian professional, with twenty years of experience in increasingly challenging roles and contexts. Coordinated implementation of complex country programs and projects with substantial budgets, multiple deliverables and stakeholders, requiring effective engagement with Governments counterparts, donors and other development and humanitarian actors. 

Strong experience in leadership positions with International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) and Red Cross Red Crescent Movement (RCRC) within the development and humanitarian field in fragile and volatile countries in the African context.

Developed solid understanding of the design and implementation of market based solutions and market systems approaches to support small holder famers both in stable context and in fragile volatile contexts.

Led regional and country level emergency assessment and program on emergency preparedness, early warning and response systems linked to forced displacement and acute drought. 

Strong track record in testing and introducing organizational and technological innovations to increase effectiveness of organizations and to improve programs’ impact and effectiveness, particularly in in designing and implementing robust monitoring and evaluation systems, based on Result Based Management. 

Familiarity in representing organisations at the highest level, including Humanitarian Country Teams and INGOs coordinating bodies, with donors, government counterparts and Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and in networking, influencing, and developing effective relationships with a range of actors.

Extensive practice and capacity in managing large teams of international and national staff and teams of technical Advisors and consultants, including recruitment, performance reviews and trainings as well as keeping staff motivated in a highly insecure environments within a remote management setting.
