About Absalom Edewa:
I am an enthusiastic, responsible Economics graduate with of 5 years experience working in the NGO world. I posses good communication and interpersonal skills and knowledge in project management cycle. I am able to work independently using initiative, both as a leader and part of a team. I have good training, monitoring, planning and project management skills.
Experience
I speak English and Kiswahili fluently. I possess experience in safeguarding and inclusion programming, and child sponsorship. I have also worked in various positions (including fulltime and in acting capacity) and gained vast experience in integrated project implementation and coordination. My other area of experience is in partnership influencing and stakeholder engagement and through this I cherish having influenced the County Government of Machakos and the civil society organizations to develop a Children Policy for the County and also have a multi-sectoral approach in handling gender-based violence and safeguarding related issues through active technical working groups.
Education
I graduated from Moi University in 1999 with a BA- Economics degree and this prepared me for employment positions that I have held and handled. such as this one. I was also trained by ILO on Approach to Inclusive Market Systems with respect to access to decent employment for refugee and immigrants, even though the value chain model is situation specific and applicable to given market environment.
