IDM TVET
IDM offer innovative Youth Development program for Motor vehicle Mechanics, Carpentry, Plumbers, Masons, Food management and Fashion design. Specialized three/four months skill based training is run by former Kenya National Youth Service Director with decades of experience.
Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is an efficient way to close skills gaps and increase productivity for industry and an effective means to raise incomes for the individual (in both formal and informal economies).
Ensuring students develop knowledge and skills that are relevant to the current needs of your organization is critical to achieving success. Our custom TVET training helps students develop the specific skills necessary to overcome the unique challenges faced by community, an industry or organization.
TVET systems must be flexible to respond to changing industry demands. IDM Tailored TVET training aligns workforce skills with industry and community requirements, providing youths with employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
IDM’s Capacity Building Model has been developed to address the need of a more efficient, modern and relevant TVET training team capable of responding to current and future community and industry demands.
Our model focuses on four key components to address TVET development:
1. A strong curriculum validated by industry, ensuring a high degree of credibility and recognition for your organization.
2. Well-trained instructional formerly military, Police and NYS staff – both technically and pedagogically. Students will receive top-notch training and be able to implement their skills immediately.
3. Practical training resources, technology and facilities capable of meeting community and industry standards. We have the necessary technology to help your training program advance your economy and community.
4. Organizational structures and strategies designed to fully support the educational process. IDM’s experience and resources ensure the program will result in successfully trained workers that are ready for work.
These four components are supplemented by quality industry connections and significant certification and accreditation we collaborate with Kenya, South Sudan and Somalia Technical Institutes.
