Just wrapped up an exciting project!
I've developed a web scraper hosted on the DigitalOcean App Platform, focused on a Jumia online shop (https://www.jumia.co.ke). This project asynchronously tracks product prices, storing them in a serverless PostgreSQL database. It includes a subscription feature where users can create an account, subscribe to specific products, and receive real-time email alerts whenever a price change occurs.
The best part? The entire process is automated, from scraping to notifying users, with a ton of potential for expansion, particularly in data analytics and insights.
