    About the Role

    We are on the look out for an exceptional
    Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
    to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and sustainable growth across our General Insurance Brokerage and International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI) portfolios. As a key strategic partner, you will shape the financial strategy, strengthen risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance while enabling operational efficiency and long-term success in a dynamic, highly regulated insurance environment.

    We are also open to international candidates who are not based in Kenya.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Strategy and Planning

    Develop and execute financial strategies that align with company growth objectives, lead long-term planning and capital allocation, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency through market and competitive analysis.

    • Financial Reporting and Performance Analysis

    Ensure timely and accurate reporting across all entities, establish KPIs to track business performance, and provide financial insights that guide executive decision-making.

    • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

    Oversee compliance with local and international regulations, manage financial risks including underwriting and investment exposures, and ensure effective pricing models, reserves, and capital optimization.

    • Operational Risk and Internal Controls

    Implement strong governance frameworks, fraud prevention, and internal audit systems while safeguarding assets, ensuring compliance, and supporting business continuity.

    • Treasury and Capital Management

    Manage capital structure, liquidity, and investment portfolios, optimize cash flow and reinsurance agreements, and maintain capital adequacy to support growth.

    • Budgeting and Operational Excellence

    Lead budgeting processes, drive cost optimization, and identify process improvements that improve profitability while maintaining service quality.

    • Stakeholder Management and Strategic Communication

    Present financial performance and recommendations to the Board and senior leadership while engaging with auditors, regulators, investors, and partners, and support M&A activities through due diligence and integration planning.

    • Technology and Digital Finance Transformation

    Champion advanced financial systems, analytics, and automation to improve forecasting, reporting, and decision-making while building data-driven financial frameworks.

    • Investor Relations and Capital Markets

    Manage investor and market relationships, oversee capital raising and financing initiatives, and ensure transparent reporting to build stakeholder confidence.

    • Leadership and Team Development

    Lead and develop high-performing finance teams across regions, foster continuous improvement, and drive cross-functional collaboration with underwriting, claims, operations, and technology.

    Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

    • Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CPA, or ACCA qualification), with at least 10 years

    of progressive senior finance leadership experience in insurance operations.

    • Proven track record in insurance financial management, with significant

    experience in General Insurance and IPMI sectors.

    • Strong experience in regulatory compliance, capital management, and

    financial risk assessment across multiple jurisdictions.

    • Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and

    complex financial modeling with capital markets and fundraising experience.

    • Ability to lead transformational finance projects and drive operational

    efficiency across international operations.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management

    capabilities with cross-cultural management experience.

    • Deep knowledge of insurance financial metrics, actuarial principles, and

    regulatory frameworks.

    • Results-oriented, innovative, and able to adapt to evolving regulatory and

    market conditions.

    • Advanced proficiency in financial systems, data analytics, and emerging

    technologies including AI, blockchain, automated reporting, and predictive

    modeling applications in insurance finance.

    • Demonstrated crisis management and business continuity planning

    capabilities with strong cross-cultural management skills.

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively with board members, executive

    leadership, and various internal and external stakeholders across diverse

    geographical markets.

    • Comprehensive understanding of multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements

    and proven ability to work effectively with regulatory bodies across different markets.
