Job summary

The role will focus on building a robust internal control environment within Galentine Care Ltd to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, expertise in accounting systems, and a focus on operational finance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to the CEO and the Founders by evaluating, analysing, and reporting appropriate data points
• Lead the development and implementation of both short- and long-term financial management plans and strategies
• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
• Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
• Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA(K) or ACCA finalist).
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in a senior finance or accounting role within a busy commercial enterprise, external audit, or consultancy firm.
• Must have expertise and proficiency in accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software that integrate accounting functions with other business operations (e.g., QuickBooks, inventory, sales, CRM, production).
• Must have solid understanding and substantial work experience in the manufacturing sector in Kenya. Experience in FMCG manufacturing sector an advantage.
