Business Development Intern - Nairobi

Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Intern to join us and take on a crucial role in communicating the technical aspects of our DAC technology, projects, and goals.

Responsibilities

• Technical Writing (70%)
• Collaborate with the technical and commercialization team to comprehend and communicate complex DAC technology, research, and developments.
• Create well-structured, concise, and accurate content for due diligence documents, grant applications, accelerator applications, and other relevant materials.
• Ensure that technical information is communicated in an accessible manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Write compelling narratives highlighting Octavia Carbon's innovation and differentiation in the carbon removal sector.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and insights for various writing assignments.
• Commercialization Support (30%)
• Assist in identifying and evaluating commercial partnerships and funding opportunities.
• Support the preparation of investor, partner, and stakeholder decks.
• Help maintain CRM systems and business development pipelines.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant field (preferred but not required).
• Proven experience in technical writing, with demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to accuracy and clarity in written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using various tools and platforms for collaboration and document creation.
• Proactive and adaptable, with a self-starter mindset and eagerness to take on evolving responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
