    Description

    Job Title: Accounting Professional

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3-5 years of accounting experience
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho, and others
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
    • Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
    • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
    • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
    • Familiarity with Kenya tax filling and reporting
    • Relevant certifications (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) are a plus but not required

    Job Responsibilities

    • Accurately record, analyze, and report financial data to ensure business transactions are properly accounted for
    • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
    • Maintain accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices, confirming debt validity, and gathering signatures
    • Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company guidelines
    • Review expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned
    • Update financial data in databases for accurate and immediate availability
    • Prepare monthly and yearly tax returns
    • Assist in monthly/yearly closings
    • Perform daily bank reconciliation
    • Supervise and manage junior accountants' duties

    Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
