Job Overview
Azure Resort is seeking a skilled Dining Service Staff to join our team.
About the Role
This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables, creating a memorable first impression.
- Presentation of menus and detailed explanations of menu items, highlighting specials and recommendations.
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
- Coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders to guests' tables.
- Serving meals and beverages to guests, adhering to fine dining service standards and proper etiquette.
- Monitoring table settings and maintaining a clean and organized dining area throughout the meal service.
- Anticipating guests' needs and promptly addressing any concerns or special requests to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Suggesting wine and beverage pairings based on guests' preferences and menu selections.
- Processing payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions.
- Collaborating with other team members, including bartenders and hosts/hostesses, to provide a cohesive and exceptional guest experience.
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and sourcing.
- Participating in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance service skills and stay updated on menu offerings.
Requirements
- Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Fluent proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong understanding of fine dining service etiquette and guest interaction.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse clientele.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, especially during peak dining hours.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
