Are you a creative video editor who knows how to turn raw ideas into powerful visual stories?
We're looking for a
full-time, on-site Video Editor
who can do more than just cut clips — someone who can
research, source footage and images online, and build cohesive, engaging stories
from scratch.
If you understand pacing, retention, and emotional storytelling — this could be for you.
Location
On-site (Nairobi)
(Entry to Mid-Level Role)
What You'll Be Doing
- Editing long-form YouTube videos and short-form content
- Sourcing high-quality stock footage, images, sound effects, and music
- Building cohesive visual narratives from scripts
- Matching visuals to voiceovers for strong retention
- Adding motion graphics, text overlays, and basic animations
- Ensuring pacing, rhythm, and storytelling flow
- Organizing and managing project files efficiently
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of video editing experience (or strong portfolio equivalent)
- Strong storytelling instincts (not just technical editing skills)
- Ability to independently source visuals that enhance the narrative
- Proficiency in:
- Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
- After Effects (preferred)
- Photoshop (basic level helpful)
- Understanding of YouTube-style retention editing is a plus
- Strong internet research skills
- Good communication and ability to take feedback
Important: Portfolio Required
To apply, you must:
- Share links to videos you have edited
- Clearly indicate which parts you handled (editing, sourcing, motion graphics, etc.)
- Demonstrate at least one project where you sourced footage and built a story
