Job summary

We are looking for a senior Key Account Manager to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with C-level executives and account managers of our top brands and distributors. The role requires a strong commercial and analytical skillset, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Retail or ecommerce industry and a strong track record of driving sales growth and maximizing revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with C-level executives and account managers of our top brands and distributors in the category.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth and maximize revenue across your portfolio.
  • Lead the acquisition of new high-potential brands and large distributors to enrich our assortment and consolidate Jumia's leadership in your category.
  • Identify and unlock monetization opportunities by promoting and selling Jumia's advertising and visibility services to brands and partners in your portfolio.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Retail or ecommerce industry.
  • Top Engineering, Business Schools & Universities (top 5 of your field for your country).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google tools.
  • Familiar with relationship management tools.
  • Strong commercial & analytical skills.
  • Great capacity to handle high-stakes negotiations.
