Job summary

FilmAid Kenya seeks a Graphics Designer to support the design and production of high-quality visual materials. The role requires the production of visually compelling outputs that align with FilmAid's branding guidelines and effectively communicate messages to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Timely development of concepts, graphics, and layouts by defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos.
• Conceptualize visuals based on programmatic and partner requirements.
• Use appropriate colors, fonts, and layouts for each graphic.
• Determine size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size.
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements when required.
• Amend designs following feedback from program teams and partners.
• Ensure all graphics and layouts are visually appealing, accessible, and on-brand.
• Liaise with external printers or production teams to ensure deadlines are met and outputs are delivered to the highest quality.
• Keep up to date with emerging design and software trends to enhance FilmAid Kenya's creative outputs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) or other professional design tools.
• Demonstrated experience in designing across both digital and print platforms.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, branding, and visual storytelling.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing is an added advantage.'
