I have gained valuable experience in the field of GIS, mapping, and surveying through my work experiences and attachments. In August 2019, I had the opportunity to do an internal attachment at JKUAT, where I honed my skills in various software and equipment used in GIS and remote sensing. I became proficient in using software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Eagle Point, ERDAS, and SNAP. These tools allowed me to effectively analyze and visualize geospatial data, create maps, and perform remote sensing tasks. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience in surveying equipment like the theodolite, total station, levels, and GPS. This attachment laid a solid foundation for my understanding of geospatial technologies.

In March 2020, I embarked on an external attachment at the Survey of Kenya, specifically in the Bomet County Survey Offices. During this attachment, I further developed my skills in land surveying, GIS, and remote sensing. I acquired practical knowledge in using GPS for data collection, theodolite for accurate measurements, and various techniques for dividing and amalgamating land parcels. Determining boundaries between land parcels and filling out mutation forms became second nature to me. I also learned the important administrative tasks of arranging mutation forms and RIMs, as well as digitizing form plans for effective record-keeping and analysis.

Throughout these experiences, I have become proficient in handling a wide range of surveying equipment and using software such as AutoCAD, GPS, and theodolite. These technical skills, combined with my understanding of GIS, mapping, and remote sensing principles, have equipped me with a comprehensive knowledge base in geospatial technology. I am confident in my ability to contribute to projects that require data analysis, map creation, and accurate surveying. I am passionate about leveraging my skills to solve complex spatial problems and make informed decisions based on geospatial information.
