In the world of non-for-profit organizations, the primary objective is prudent financial management to maximize benefit to the populous. After 14 years in Operations, procurement, and logistics, I have a wide range of procurement knowledge and skills at my disposal to ensure effective financial management through implementation of procurement initiatives centered on value for money.
As a licensed procurement professional holding an MSC in Procurement and logistics, I have designed regional Sub Saharan Africa and country procurement (Kenya, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Sierra Leone) and assets policies, operational systems, balanced procurement budgets, assessed risks, guided strategy, management and administered contracts and streamlining of procurement and logistics, imports and exports customs clearance for both corporate and non-governmental organizations such as UNOPS, UNICEF and Education Development Trust over the past decade. I now want to leverage my skills and competencies to International or regional non-for-profit organization, where I can head the department with a strong emphasis on compliance with donor requirements, value for money, prudent financial and asset management, people management, capacity building and training.
Throughout my working experience, I have acquired versatility and administrative ability; organizational and design skills, created an environment where openness and integrity are constant in the organization. I also have operational and administration competence; audit accountability and communication skills for knowledge sharing and training; advanced interpersonal relations; and a high level of financial appreciation to the realization of my employer’s congruent goals and to the empowerment of other members of staff through teamwork.
My best quality is confidence, firmness to policy compliance, communication and as an extrovert who is sociable and easily approachable, my personality will lighten the organization environment.
