Vonclaire Gakii

I was a student at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology studying Financial Engineering as you will see from my attached CV. I believe that from my coursework I have acquired skills that have prepared me for this role. I have enrolled with kasneb for CPA foundation level. I believe that the content learnt in the course will also make me a better at the job. I did my attachment in the County Government of Meru finance and budget office where I learnt how to prepare financial reports and reconciliation journals. I did daily data entry from payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers (imprests) and surrender journals. I am used to doing bulky work efficiently as I did my attachment when pending bills were being paid in the year 2021. I additionally did an internship where I worked as a business development intern at LOLC Microfinance Bank. I believe that this opportunity will allow me to contribute to your organizations goals and objectives as well as help me in developing my career in finance, financial and data analysis.

On a personal level, I am detail oriented, organized and precise in my work. I have strong communication skills and enjoy working with and being a part of a motivated team of smart people.

Work Experience:
2022 May- 2022 Aug: Business Development Internship at LOLC Kenya Micro 
LOLC Microfinance Bank.
 Meeting with potential customers to present company 
offerings and negotiate business deals.
 Analysing financial data and writing up loan appraisals.
 Explain prospective clients about the advantages of the 
products or services offered and follow up with them in 
order to close the business deals.
 Respond to the client queries regarding the products in a 
timely fashion.
