Currently pursuing a master degree in Tax and custom administration from Moi University (KESRA),with a Bachelor of Arts-Economics and business administration(Kenyatta University), having gone through courses under current employment in strategic management and business development programme (Strathmore University) ,customer experience, fraud awareness, credit risk management(Kenya School of Credit Management), sales and marketing skills, AML and POCAMLA.

Experience

Branch Manager-Family Bank (January 2018 to date)

•Designing and implementing Strategic & execution plans for Business development: owning the branch set targets and ensuring enactment while unlocking key business opportunities. 

• Continuously sale and promotion of bank products 

• Review of credit proposals, chair branch credit committee, participating and monitoring comprehensive recovery on all bank assets and ensure they are within the bank SLA. 

• Oversee and champion the implementation of bank policies and procedures to ensure adherence as well as laid down AML procedures. 

• Instilling the right corporate culture at all times 

• Identifying and working towards key business enablers to realization of business objectives and set targets 

• Building concrete relationships by small & medium, corporate, high net worth clients and other key stakeholders with an aim to expand market share

Branch Operations Manager/Supervisor-Family Bank July 2013 to 2017 

 • Vault custodian , Managing Snap checks , Managing escalated Customer Service issues,end of Day procedures, general Branch Administration, authorization of transactions, branch handover, takeover, controlled, stationery, mailing, managing retention periods for books and papers, coordinating branch meetings, security management both for staff and other bank assets liaison with Procurement and other Head Office departments to ensure equipment at the branch are always serviced and in adequate supply, managing and ensuring full compliance to policies and Procedures, proposing/ review amendments to Procedures for efficiency and effectiveness, ensure proper due diligence on KYC is conducted on all customer accounts to effectively manage AML/CFT risks at the branch level, Monitor customer transactions to identify suspicious transactions and report promptly to the AML Compliance Manager, Liaison with Head Office Risk and Compliance to identify and mitigate against potential operation risks at the branch • Ownership of branch audit reports and ensuring all issues raised in the audit report are closed in time. Balancing and reconciliations: Balancing of all control accounts and liaison with Head Office for reconciliation of outstanding items posted in the system. Daily monitoring: monitor and maintain an up to date position of all the Assets and Liability accounts and monitor respective trial balance for accurate reporting, prepare budget and monthly performance management reports,  Undertake call-over, confirmation of KYC for RTGS and other high risk transactions, monitor and evaluate the performance of direct reports, prepare performance appraisals and recommend and/or initiate corrective action where necessary to improve performance and/or attaining established personal and organizational goals, provide leadership and guidance to direct reports through effective planning, communication, training, mentoring and coaching.
