Nov 2010 TODATE Tobento Investments Ltd Position: Accountant : Responsibilities: ➢ Monitoring sales proceeds from each branch and ensuring they are banked intact on daily basis in accordance to daily sales summary ➢ Ensuring completeness and accuracy of reported sales on weekly basis by reviewing the daily sales summary to the source document (receipt and invoices) and posting the same in the SAP system. ➢ Stock take and reconciliation to ensure stocks are intact as per branch allocation and generating reports from the SAP ➢ Implementing and monitoring the POS system (SAP) at the retail and head office level and generating all financial reports while ensuring Completeness and accuracy. ➢ Maintaining an up to up-to-date listing of the outstanding debts, ensure that debts are collected promptly and credits sales are made to only authorized customers. ➢ Prompting key accounts and retails managers for immediate collection of overdue accounts and providing the necessary reconciliations. ➢ Maintaining cash book, prepare bank reconciliations for review and advice the company on the cash position at least twice a week. ➢ Preparing and issuing customer statements at least once a month by 5th day of the following month. ➢ Preparing supplier statements, raising and issuing approved LPOS and making payments to the suppliers depending on the agreed credit periods. ➢ Negotiating with suppliers on the best prices they can offer and the credit periods they can accept putting in mind the quality of the products
