Valerie Opiyo

My name is Valerie Opiyo. I am 35 years old female. I am a friendly, out going and social person who loves meeting and interacting with new people.I also love reading n always ready for challenges and ready to learn new things each days. I am passion about art n anything that involves art as a whole as I have based my passion on it. I have been in the marketing industry for almost 10 years now n my marketing is based on art my passion. I have always loved acting and that is live stage acting and I have travelled quite extensively in different part of Kenya to explore my passion and share it with others.

I have currently settled in Nairobi n not traveling anymore but I still involve myself with a bit of marketing n art in general. Through my passion I have mastered good social and communication skills. I believe am a fluent and eloquent speaker who is able to express herself in both English and Swahili. Through my passion also I developed a lot of courage in front of people n also be able to work with minimal supervision. I was always a team leader who managed a large number of people n watched over them whenever we were out there and therefore through that I gained a sense of responsibility and hardworking knowing that people always looked forward for my direction and advice.

I have worked for few companies since 2008. Art being my passion I have worked for several theatre companies like Talents theatre production for 3 years and then moved over to Jicho four production where I worked for 2 years. After that I decided to venture into something else where I worked for a cyber company as a cyber assistant manager. The most current job has been with a company named infinitech circle which is a printing and branding company where my duties included printing, Branding, sublimation of mugs n printing ot tshirts.

I did my kcse in 2006 and attained a mean grade of C+. I went ahead to attend a computer school where I got my certificate in computer studies. I was not fortunate enough to join a college or university due to financial strains but because of my own strengths and capabilities I trained myself in every job opportunity I got n through person training n self discipline I was able to learn everything I needed whenever a job opportunity came by. I got promotions n was recognized due to my strengths n the will to always learn
