Experience
- PRODUCTION - (Aug, 2019 - July, 2021) I have worked for organizations such as Cupstone Travel, where I created content and improved their social media pages. CELI Organization (The Council of Empowered Ladies International). The work done is inclusive of visual adverts, promos and product catalogs, websites, branding content.
(Oct 2018 - June, 2019) as part of free lance work, I have directed, written and co-produced a short film/ series promo. As well as scripted the short film, which was later adapted into a series.
I have also done projects for individuals such as Bridal Shower videos, Birthday videos and social media videos . ( July, 2018 - current)
2. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT IN AN INTERIOR DESIGN COMPANY – was working in a company; Hanie Blaq Essentials, as an Assistant Administrator. My roles included; (FEB, 2019 - APRIL, 2022)
Project Planning and facilitation (developing interior design tasks and scope of works, sourcing of materials, décor installation e.g. Furniture, Curtains, Rugs, Paintings and Paintworks, etc. and sight task supervision) Record keeping, Report writing, social media marketing.
3. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER – as part of a social media team at my Church, I run one among the Churches pages (twitter), sometimes Face Book and Instagram. I derive my content for the pages through the Pastor’s former sermons as well as direct quotes, statements or teaching points mentioned during the actual Service. (MAY 2018 – DEC 2019) - Duties include:
- Content creation
- Online engagement (retweeting, liking, replying to feedback)
- Online campaigning.
As part of my free lance work, I also ran inline pages for individuals as well as start up companies.
3. ADMINISTRATOR AND FRONT OFFICE PERSONNEL –worked in a Dry-Cleaning
Company in Nairobi, I began work September 2017 to October 2018. Being new to the work, I received basic training for dry cleaning as well as in-house standards. My responsibilities included:
- Front Office operations: Receiving items from customers, tagging details of each client on each item, entering their information to receipts and delivering them to the cleaning crew.
- Being a liaison between company owner and other staff members.
- Organizing and sorting all items after cleaning process.
- Packaging them ready for client pick-ups.
- Ensuring the quality and standard of the company is implemented for all items cleaned, by scanning each item before it is packaged and leaves.
- Administrative Operations: Brainstorming on ways to improve service delivery, this done with a fellow Administrator/ Front Office Personnel together with the company owner.
4. ADMINISTRATOR AND CONTENT CREATOR – was working in a company; Hanie Blaq Essentials, as an Assistant Administrator. My roles included; (JULY, 2016 – DECEMBER,2016)

5. CREATIVE SERVICES INTERN; AUTOCUE OPERATIONS – was an intern at the Standard Group (KTN), working in the Production Department as part of creative services. (JULY 2015 – OCTOBER 2015) My assignment was Auto-Cue operations and my responsibilities included:
- Assisting in editing a news story(video)
- Compiling news for a newsbulletin
- Follow up of stories and interlink shows such as MorningExpress between the Editors and Production
- Assisting in the creation of a running order and Technical departments
- Operating a teleprompter
- Assisting in creating a call sheet for Staff
- Assisting in the production of morning shows such as Morning Express
- Distribution of running orders
- Coordinating audience phone-ins, Reporter live-links andphone-links
- Directing news bulletins (on occasions, as part of the internship experience)
6. VIDEO AND AUDIO PRODUCTION – as part of my course work at Daystar University,I shot, edited and produced Audio and Video content using Final Cut Pro and Cool Edit Pro respectively. This was inclusive of radio shows of about thirty minutes each or more and video features, documentaries and a film. (JANUARY 2014 – AUGUST 2015)
7. MUSIC - was a vocalist (soprano vocalist) for the Afrizo Band of Daystar University that is headed by Hellen Mtawali, nature of the music is African – (2013 –2015).
8. MAKE-UP ARTIST (OCTOBER; 2015 - MARCH, 2017) As part of my craft, learning and work experience, I have done two weddings and other small events. Most of my learning material came from online sites and consultations from known makeup artists.
9. PLAY WRITER AND DIRECTOR (APRIL2015) I wrote and directed a Church play for Church Youth Convention in Nairobi, about the lost life of a man in his early twenties and how he finds salvation at his lowest point where he had tried to commit suicide.
