Hello, my name is Shawn Mwaniki. Both a Video Editor and Communication Specialist. 
I’ve studied the above professions and I’m confident I have what it takes to excel in the role and add value to your company and assignments. 
I am dynamic, self disciplined, flexible and trustworthy person who works quickly and completes everything to a high standard. 
I’m passionate in making work easier for both my clients and Society.

Working for Mediamax Network for 7 months as a video editor has acquired and enhanced more skills in the editing department.

Some of these skills are;

1. Evaluated and selected scenes for pacing, entertainment value, and continuity, trim shots and edit content.
2. Organized assets by collecting data from camera media, transcoding video, and audio files and managing file backup to digital asset management system.
3. Delivered edits with multiple camera angle choices, titles, graphics, audio, and special effects.
4. Understood director's artistic vision and maintained alignment with vision throughout editing process.
5. Contributed new ideas and looked for ways to improve content editing and processes.
6. Organized and worked with raw footage from multiple cameras and sources.
7. Edited together video, audio still imagery and motion graphics for creative and informational multimedia projects.
8. Participated in creative brainstorms for new content and series, social media campaigns and sponsorship initiatives.
9. Created titles, captions, graphics and templates in After Effects to give edits additional visual flare.
