Psychiatric Department 

• Participated in the admission of mentally ill patients under the Mental Health Act, managed their care by guiding them in activities of daily living, administering medications, and performing procedures such as wound dressing, learned and participated in the management of psychiatric emergencies, ensured proper discharge of psychiatric patients, conducted follow-up after discharge, and performed home visits to ensure the well-being of the patients.

Family clinic

• Conducted a full physical examination and abdominal examination of pregnant women, evaluating their overall health and assessing the development and well-being of the fetus. Took detailed family, medical, and past history of the pregnant woman, including information about previous pregnancies. Collaborated with the nurse to educate women on various family planning methods and issued the most suitable method based on their preferences and medical considerations. Additionally, performed cervical assessments of women to rule out cervical cancer.

Outpatient department 

• Completed head to toe assessments and re-assessments of patients to identify their care needs, performed procedures such as wound dressing, administered intramuscular or intravenous medications, and sutured open wounds, recorded and dispensed prescribed medications, provided patient education about medications, collaborated with nurses in diagnosing tuberculosis and HIV in patients, and followed up with patients to ensure medication compliance.

STUDENT NURSE, NAIVASHA DISTRICT HOSPITAL

Public Health Department

• Participated in distribution of supplies of supplies and drugs to health centres, ordering and receiving vaccines from KEMSA and distributing to health centers and wrote monthly/ quarterly sub county reports

Pediatric Department

• Took part in carrying out diagnosis of pediatric conditions during admission, Completed head to toe assessment and re-assessment of patients to identify their care needs and administrated and monitored children on intravenous fluids and medication, discharged pediatric patients and followed up on them by performing home visits.

Maternity Ward

• Admitted mothers in labor, performed full physical and vaginal examinations, provided nursing care and observation, recognized complications related to their pregnancies, performed vaginal deliveries, administered necessary medications during delivery, repaired episiotomies, provided care for mothers throughout all stages of labor, assessed the baby's APGAR score, administered vaccinations, maintained complete records of births and labor, and ensured the proper discharge of both the mother and baby.
