I am Cheboi Shaline Jeruto aged 27 years, I have completed a bachelor of commerce degree at Kenyatta University and graduated on July 2021 and also completed Diploma in banking and finance at Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology. My interest is to work in a position that challenges my growing skills, putting my coursework into practice and ability to work with employees.

 I am a professional with 2 years of experience in the accounting and finance sectors. Have worked with private organisations among them are, Sweden Kenya Travel and Tours Limited, Osschemie Kenya Limited, Acacia Management Kenya Limited, Tropikal Brands Kenya Limited and Kenya Industrial Property Institute. I am competent with accounting regulations. I have experience in using Quick books, Excel, word, sage, power point etc. I also have strong leadership skills, planning, monitoring, problem solving and resolute inter-personal skills.

Currently, I am working as Accountant at Sweden Kenya Travel and Tours Limited base here in Nairobi, Kenya. I am playing various roles such as; Filling transaction documents, preparing monthly banks reconciliations, debt collections, payment vouchers, petty cash reconciliations, responding to customers queries whenever they arise, posting and balancing of customers and suppliers accounts, preparation of financial statements for internal and external audit purposes, monthly payroll, filing of monthly statutory payments eg NHIF, NSSF, PAYE and VATensuring that accurate and timely cash flows is submitted, dispatch cheques and transmittal of electronic payments to suppliersensuring that payments are stipulated within the agreed time, Preparation and submission of timely, accurate and reliable monthly and quarterly management accounts reports, receiving and filling the supplier’s invoices and LPO’s, ensuring that invoices or delivery notes are provided to the customers, ensuring that all expenses are authorized before any payment is made among other roles.

Previously, I worked as a Finance Assistant at Osschemie Kenya Limited in Nairobi, Kenya, where I gained much of my experience, I was able to perform several tasks such as, posting and balancing of customers and suppliers accounts, preparation of financial statements for internal and external audit purposes, monthly payroll, filing of monthly statutory payments, preparation and submission of timely, accurate and reliable monthly and quarterly management accounts reports, applications of VAT exemptions ,team leader etc.

 

I have also worked with Acacia Management Consultants as Assistant Accountant and gained experienced such as; ensuring that payments are stipulated within the agreed time, preparation and submission of timely, accurate and reliable monthly management accounts reports, reconciliation of M-PESA transactions,registration of M-PESA customers, depositing cash into registered customers M-PESA accounts,processing cash withdrawals for registered M-PESA customers, customer education and interactions, assist in preparing financial statement and arranging of files among other assigned roles.

 

Generally, I am hardworking, organized, detail oriented, passionate with my work and a person who works with no or minimal supervision and also have the ability to meet deadlines, more so, well to keeping accurate financial records. I am also familiar with office and accounting software and my computer skills are proficient.
