Experience

- Providing accounting and bookkeeping support for the company. - Performing airfreight and sea freight forwarding functions for both imports and exports. - Handling customer enquiries and quotations and enhance follow up to seal business deals. - Overseeing customs clearance processes and procedures through entry declaration, taxes payment and clearance both at the airport and sea port (Mombasa and Inland Container Depot, Nairobi). - Handling customer and company tax related issues in conjunction with Kenya Revenue Authority. - Daily and Periodic updates to customers regarding shipment status and progress. - Manage month end bank and balance sheet reconciliation process. - Review financial reports and statements, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, Actual to budget and Variance Analysis. - Manage payables and receivables process, recurring payment summary and vendor trading. - Review Transactions for completeness, Accuracy, proper documentation and approvals prior to processing. - Ensuring timely posting of journals and cash book entries in accounting system. - Assisting in developing processes, procedures and internal controls for maintaining the efficient flow of all financial transactions. - Managing and foreseeing the sales function by attending sales meetings where operational issues are discussed.
