Hi, I'm a beginner ethical hacker and a criminologist. This summarizes my professional experience in these two fields.

Ethical hacking tests the security of computer systems and networks by simulating malicious attacks. Ethical hackers use the same tools and techniques as malicious hackers, but with the permission and consent of the owners. The goal is to identify and fix vulnerabilities before they are exploited.

Criminology studies crime, its causes, consequences, and prevention. Criminologists analyze the patterns, trends, and behaviors of criminals and criminal groups. They also examine the social and legal responses to crime and how they affect the victims and the offenders.

I have been interested in both ethical hacking and criminology since I was a teenager. I pursued a degree in  criminology at the KCA University and CEH at Strathmore University in partnership with iLAB Africa.

During my studies, I participated in several ethical hacking competitions and workshops. I also conducted research on cybercrime, cyberterrorism, and cyberwarfare. During my third year , I joined a cybersecurity consulting firm that provides ethical hacking services to various clients. As an ethical hacker, I work in a team of experts who perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security auditing. We use various methods to simulate real-world attacks and identify weaknesses. We then provide detailed reports and recommendations.

As a criminologist, I also work as a freelance consultant for various law enforcement agencies and organizations that deal with cybercrime. I help them analyze the data and evidence related to cybercrime cases. I also provide insights on the profiles, motives, and strategies of the cybercriminals and their networks. I also advise them on how to prevent and respond to cybercrime effectively.

Ethical hacking and criminology are two sides of the same coin. They both require a deep understanding of technology and human behavior. They both aim to protect the society from harm and promote justice. They both challenge me to think creatively and critically. They both give me a sense of purpose and satisfaction.
 

As a criminology and CEH student at KCA University and Strathmore University respectively, I have acquired a solid foundation in the theory and practice of cybercrime prevention and investigation. I have learned how to apply ethical hacking techniques to assess the security of various systems and networks, as well as how to collect and analyze digital evidence using forensic tools and methods. I have also gained knowledge and skills in the legal and ethical aspects of cybercrime, such as cyber laws, regulations, policies and standards. Through my coursework and projects, I have demonstrated my ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, as well as to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
