I am a highly motivated and experienced corporate communication and management specialist with a passion for using communication to achieve business goals. I've had success in the past in creating and implementing communication strategies that have raised brand awareness, boosted employee engagement, and raised consumer happiness. Writing, editing, public speaking, social media, and media relations are all skills I have. Public Education and Advocacy Attachment and Volunteer Program

The National Authority for Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA)

This was my first volunteer job during my first year on campus. The vision of this program was to create awareness around drug abuse among various target audiences to support their vision of establishing a nation free of alcohol and drug abuse. While in this position; 

1. I supported the implementation of preventive education to campaign against drug and substance abuse in line with the Authority's mandate. 
2. I  Organized and participated in public fora relating to alcohol and drug abuse activities to probe into why certain conditions and situations encourage drug and substance abuse among students. When the root of a social problem is understood, then the problem is half solved 
3. I Provided support in preparing reports, concept notes, proposal writing, and presentations

Marketing and Communications Intern

Homeboyz Radio 

1. Homeboyz Radio is Kenya's leading media, experiential marketing, entertainment, and events management solutions provider. My main responsibilities in this role included;
2. Handling numerous inbound and outbound calls directed towards closing sales with clients and marketing the organization's advertisement packages to potential clients 
3. Conducting market research to identify the needs and preferences of potential markets
4. Identifying gaps in the Kenyan market, segmenting the markets, and marketing the brand's advertising platforms and entertainment platforms 
5. Developing marketing strategies for events, products, and services based on objective research findings for optimum outreach to potential and existing client groups and individual clients

Customer Relations

ISORMAT

ISORMAT is a small private company established in 2018. The brand deals in coffee and tea products and is located in Rwaka, Kiambu country. The brand is currently working on establishing its online presence and customer base. My roles in this job position included; 

1. Enhancing ISORMAT’S brand awareness through Facebook, Instagram, and Linked-In increasing brand recognition and product consumption 
2. Keying in stock entries and dispatching to the various clients for ISORMAT generals leading to an effective system to serve the clients and follow-up on orders made 
3. Conducting market research and  identifying potential clients to boost sales and brand recognition 
4. Soliciting feedback from clients and potential markets on preferences and needs and using this information as the basis for the brand's decisions on production and operations 

Reason for leaving this job. Although ISORMAT was a great company, I left because of delayed payments. The company was very young at the time and unable to pay employees on time. 

CURRENT JOB

Content Creator and Freelance Admin 

1. I currently work as a freelance writer of blogs, business proposals, projects, and articles since the COVID 19 period. The most incredible skill acquired from this job is research
2. I also use I Tax as a freelancer, successfully assisting several local businesses and individuals in tax filing, new KRA pin legislation, and vehicle legislation using NTSA-TIMS
3. In addition to these freelance jobs, I am taking short online course on the Ajira digital platform. These short courses include graphic design and data analysis.
