About Quinter ayako Shikholo:
I am a Development Studies graduate with practical experience in public sector engagement, policy development, and program coordination. I have worked with the Ministry of Trade and Industrialization in Kakamega County and a community-based organization, contributing to project planning, stakeholder training, and policy implementation. I am passionate about sustainable development, empowering communities, and promoting accountable governance. I have strong communication skills, basic ICT knowledge, and a growing interest in public policy and social justice. I am currently seeking full-time opportunities to grow my career and make a positive impact.
Experience
I have hands-on experience working in both government and community-based organizations. At the Ministry of Trade, Industrialization and Tourism in Kakamega County, I supported industrialization projects, participated in public policy development, and engaged with farmers and entrepreneurs. I also served as an organizing secretary at WeCare CBO, where I led program planning, resource mobilization, and partnership coordination. Through these roles, I developed strong skills in community engagement, project coordination, documentation, and public communication.
Education
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies with I.T from Maseno University, completed in 2021. This interdisciplinary program equipped me with knowledge in governance, community development, and basic information technology. In May 2021, I also completed a Paralegal Training Certificate with ACE Africa, where I gained skills in child rights, legal aid, and community case follow-ups. My secondary education was completed at St. Joseph’s Girls High School, where I earned my KCSE certificate in 2016.
